On this day we are introducing THE FOX HIFI a brand new puddle of entertainment for you to splash in.

The legendary UK soundman & record producer, LLOYD COXSONE, began his career in the sixties, soon after arriving from Jamaica. He was one of the first soundmen to play at West End clubs like Tiles and the Roaring Twenties, where a generation of British pop stars like the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Elton John first heard the music of Jamaica. Coxsone then dominated the seventies, when Bob Marley and Dennis Brown were among his closest allies, as heard on unforgettable dub-plates from that era. Lloyd is an elder statesman with more than fifty years’ history behind him, but he knows there’s still a place in the music for those who are young at heart and willing to embrace change. LLoyd Coxsone is one of londons most Vintage artists and is looking to showcase his wealth of experience in the game before his 55th aniversary in 2020!

We also have Boubacar Kafando and Zaama Nooma who bring exceptional talent and the warmest vibrations with their unique instruments and sounds! Their style is centred around fast paced intricate patterns and melodies which are all intended to get you moving!

Our night also showcases DJ EL DIABLO a Fresh face on the scene bringing you the best of classics .

The aim is to bring as many of you talented suckers together and establish a regular space where we can promote our shit and acquaint ourselves further with the going-ons and the other gifted, funky people in the area. After a 2 year hiatus, Valve Control will be back at the fox with their tight, loud, funky grooves that’ll ensure you bussa move!

Megan Thomas of Nelle & Noel will be down, gracing us with her soulful voice. She cites Minnie Ripperton, Chaka Khan, Patrice Rushen and a few other true greats.

The Multi-instrumentalist, super talented, sugar voiced Sahil Batra will be in the building! Sahil is one of the founding members of JMNI and is making a name for himself across all aspects of the london music scene. He’ll slamming some keys for us throughout the evening.

Martin Turner
Over the past couple years, Valve Control’s Don Martin has been crafting his own sound outta his bedroom studio, giving life to a perfect blend of songwriting and true musicianship. Citing the likes of Marvin Gaye, Shuggie Otis, Jimi Hendrix, Lewis Taylor and loads more, he is set to bring some real good fruits to this table. Check his debut and sophomore single here!

Gizelle Rebel Yelle is an avid music lover and DJ who has actively been spinning dance music since over three decades at underground parties, raves, clubs and festivals all over the UK and worldwide. She began her journey playing funk and soul, but the acid house explosion in the late 80s changed her musical direction over night and since then she has been playing house, techno, electronica and funky beats.

Matthieu F is an established DJ & producer, who has been heavily involved on the London underground party scene since the late 90s. He currently runs his own music labels Planet Underground and Resilient Recordings and recently had a DJ residency at the Ice Bar (London) playing house and tech house.

Rob Nang is a passionate music selector for all things funk, world, house and electronica style music. He has been building his vinyl collection over many years, playing on the local party bar circuit and loves spreading the good vibes through music.

So for tonight’s Obliquity showcase, Gizelle and friends will explore a deeper selection of dance floor delights playing a soulful plethora of house & tech house, funky vibes, breaks and electronica to firmly ease you into 2020, contributing to a new era of underground music collective consciousness to make sense of this crazy and wonderful world.
