SUMMARY:POSTPONED - Lagos Thugs
DESCRIPTION:Sadly due to VISA issues\, the band are unable to make their date with the Fox. We hope to have them back next summer\, and in the meantime we will refund all tickets holders. \n/// \nLagos Thugs is a 12-piece Afrobeat orchestra straight out of Lagos\, Nigeria — carrying the spirit of Fela Kuti’s legendary Africa 70 and Egypt 80 into a new generation. Join us for their UK debut! \nFounded in 2020 by singer\, saxophonist\, and multi-instrumentalist Adetunji Adeyemi\, their music follows the deep architecture of classic Afrobeat — heavy bass\, hypnotic repetition\, powerful horn sections — while weaving in jazz\, dub\, and traditional drumming from Cuba and West Africa. The band made their live debut in January 2021 at Lagos’ Bature Brewery during an evening organized by acclaimed Nigerian trumpeter Etuk Ubong\, and the momentum hasn’t stopped since. Within months they locked down a headline residency\, went viral through Sofar Sounds\, and were chosen as the opening act for multiple Seun Kuti shows at The Shrine and Alliance Française. \nFela Kuti’s own trumpeter Muyiwa Kunnuji praised the band after seeing a live clip\, declaring they play with the same energy as the originals. After winning the MOP (Movement of the People) Award\, they connected with Amayo and Antibalas\, who were so impressed they featured Lagos Thugs in their Netflix documentary. Projects with Ezra Collective\, K.O.G.\, and Kaleta have further cemented their place at the forefront of a global Afrobeat revival. \nTheir debut album Chaos — four extended compositions clocking over 35 minutes — announced a band that’s both deeply reverent and completely fearless. Now signed to Mixto Records\, Lagos Thugs are bringing homegrown Nigerian Afrobeat back to the world stage.

SUMMARY:Da Lata
DESCRIPTION:A high-energy fusion of Afro-Brazilian rhythms\, soul\, jazz-funk\, and trip hop. \nHaving just celebrated their 25th anniversary London’s original global groove trailblazers come to the Fox for the first time on the back of their acclaimed 2025 album ‘Edge Of Blue’. \nDa Lata’s Edge Of Blue not just a return\, but a new beginning\, North London tropicalia born out of the alchemy of longing. Never before have Da Lata woven their many strands so sweetly\, blending their diverse influences with the musical personalities of their extended family into a collection of songs that speak of struggle\, survival\, and ultimately hope. \n  \n \nDa Lata is the brainchild of producer Chris Franck and DJ/broadcaster Patrick Forge\, Da Lata emerged from the vibrant intersection of London club culture and Brazilian influence in the late ‘90s. They combine world-influences with the melting pot of their native city\, carving out a space that was equal parts sun-drenched and rhythmically global. \nKnown for deeply spiritually uplifting live shows and a long list of heavyweight collaborators\, from Tony Allen to Jhelisa\, Bernie Worrell to Mayra Andrade\, Da Lata’s return is both a homecoming and a celebration of one of the UK’s most iconic and enduring musical forces.
