Description

We’re really stoked that our headliner for this session is Tiny T. Tiny a.k.a. The Mighty Cloudburst a.k.a. Tennyson Goulbourne. T is an internationally renowned selector of all styles of music of Jamaican origin. He’s also a mean man on the mic.. Tiny is steeped in Reggae Rocksteady and Ska, as his highly esteemed father was the proprietor of one of South London’s premier nightspots specializing in black music and much else besides. T was born into the music.

Tennyson is also an internationally renowned dealer in rare records, so he draws from an awesome selection. He does so to entertain and is guaranteed to do so on this gala evening. He will be proceeded on the decks by D.D.C. stalwart Papa Scotchie. The vibrant Scotchieexudes positive vibes and can be relied upon for a scintillating set, presented with style. Expect Roots Reggae and Revive supplemented with some distinctive mic action.

After him, in the middle of the evening, the mighty Soft Wax will be spinning, on the wheels of steel, with a fresh selection.  He’ll be joined by the great Doc Murdoch, our resident Singjay, live and direct. They’ll be accompanied on the mic by our wicked, live, Horn Section, led by Tombone and Natty. There’ll also be very special guests too t.b.c..

Plus our resident engineer, the inimitable Prince Fatty, will be mixing live on the desk throughout the evening, ensuring a full and rich sound from the mighty rig. Rocksteady will be playing throughout the early evening, in the glorious garden, at The Fox and Firkin. We’ll be stoking up the mighty set inside from 6.30 ( this will be piped out into the garden too.) Put on your dancing shoes and come on down.

Advanced tickets at the reduced rate of £3 are available from foxfirkin.com ( gate pressure is still a modest £5.)
