Funk the Borders will be a multidisciplinary event combining music, art exhibition and auction, dance and live screenprinting and will take place on Sunday 28th April at The Fox and Firkin between 2pm and midnight. Funk The Borders is family friendly until 7pm and is open to and inclusive of all communities and all tribes.
We have run previous events at the Laundry in London Fields, Shapes in Hackney Wick and Nomadic Gardens in Shoreditch and raised over £11,000 in doing so. We used the money from previous events to fund a grassroots art project for under-18s in a Samos refugee camp in Greece as well as donating to Refugee Community Kitchen.
For this, our fourth installment, we have chosen to donate our profits to WarChild, via ‘Dance for Good’, a wider campaign hosted by THE RIGHT TO DANCE.
