Steam Down, the vibrant alternative jazz collective hailing from Deptford, South-East London, was born from the creative vision of multi-instrumentalist and producer Ahnansé in May 2017.
What started as a local gathering for London-based musicians has transformed into a weekly event, fostering spontaneous and diverse sonic expressions reflecting the collective’s urban experiences.
Widely acclaimed in London’s music scene, Steam Down has been featured in The Guardian, Time Out, and The New York Times. Their achievements include two Jazz FM awards and captivating performances at prestigious festivals like Montreux Jazz Festival and Glastonbury’s Park Stage. Collaborations with artists such as Sampa The Great and P Money showcase their versatility.
Notable tracks like ‘Free My Skin’ and ‘Etcetra,’ released through Blue Note, have garnered millions of streams globally, earning a spot on the FIFA21 soundtrack and the Paramount+ romcom ‘Flatshare.’ Following the success of the ‘Five Fruit’ EP, Steam Down is eagerly preparing for their debut album set to release in 2024.
Engaging with audiences globally, Steam Down embodies co-creative experiences, transcending language and cultural barriers. Their impactful journey continues, pushing boundaries and redefining the contours of contemporary jazz.

Harmony of the Source (Anjelica Cleaver) is an award winning and internationally recognised musician. She sees the role of an artist as a philosopher, community builder and healer, with her work being a meditation on the social and the spiritual.
Having danced around many scenes and styles including jazz, punk, experimental, classical, disco and dance, she has always remained uncategorizable, defined only by fluidity.

Hootini Brass Band – Fresh to the UK brass scene, Hootini are a nine-piece brass band from South London. With a wide range of influences including jazz, hip-hop, drum and bass, Afro-Latin, funk, and with roots in the New Orleans tradition, Hootini have a unique and eclectic modern brass sound, pushing in new directions and presenting an upbeat and exciting live show.
They’ve performed at a variety of great venues across London, including Jam in a Jar, Paper Dress Vintage, Magic Garden, and Piano Smithfield, as well as festivals such as Lambeth Country Show, Midsummer Groove, and Brockley Max.
Angelina Luzi, the Italo-Brit indie singer/songwriter immersed in the enchanting realm of Folktronica, unveils a mesmerizing journey. From singing in Italian jazz bands and gospel choirs to graduating in Popular Music Studies at Goldsmiths University, Angelina’s sonic odyssey culminated in performances at prestigious venues like the Royal Festival Hall.
Interning in music production at The Midi Music Company, she birthed her debut EP ‘Invisible Ties’ in 2018. Angelina’s vocal prowess echoes in her role as the singer of EAST WALL, a spectacular dance and music production at the Tower of London directed by Hofesh Shechter.
Versatile and dynamic, she has graced stages at Glastonbury, London Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s, and supported artists like Dele Sosimi and Jessie Ware. Her recent singles showcase a rich blend of electronic beats and string-laden folk/pop, setting the stage for her highly anticipated debut album ‘Untold,’ releasing on May 3rd, 2024.
