We are very please to announce that we have Captain Accident performing for us on the 26th October.

Captain Accident is a reggae/ska/soul artist who creates a unique blend of soulful lovers rock, roots reggae, ska, dub and rocksteady at his home studio in Cardiff. This sound is then brought to life on stage with the help of a collective of musicians known as “The Disasters” although in reality, they are far from that! The energetic live show is guaranteed to get people up and dancing. With soulful vocals, soaring twin guitars and a truly infectious groove, there’s no standing still when Captain Accident and his clumsy companions hit the stage.

Through intensive touring of the UK and Europe, numerous music videos, festival appearances and some high-profile radio airplay, more and more people are becoming aware of Captain Accident’s unique sound. With a national fan-base growing by the day and a live performance gaining so much momentum in terms of sound and energy, Captain Accident and The Disasters are becoming harder and harder to ignore on the UK reggae/ska circuit and further afield.

Captain Accident and The Disasters were asked to join reggae heroes Toots & the Maytals as tour support for a run of dates on their 2016 UK tour. After impressing the reggae legends, their fans and their agency, the band were then invited back out as official full-tour support in 2017 and again in 2018, taking them to some of the country’s most prestigious venues including London Barbican Theatre, Brighton Dome, Manchester Academy, Nottingham Rock City and Glasgow 02. During Toots’ 2017 “Bands in the Sands” appearance, Captain Accident was asked to join the band onstage to perform Monkey Man on guitar!

THE WiDOWS

The Widows are a 4 piece garage punk group from London, a lurid mix of The Cramps, The Stooges and Blue Velvet. Their latest single, Brexit Chainstore Massacre (“Huge, no-excuses, larger-than-life friggin’ rock ‘n roll” – Jeffro Lackscheide), was released on Massive Capital in Dec 2018, with a new album coming out this year.

SEX CELLS

Helping define the anxiety and utter dread of late-stage Capitalism.
A vital part of the London underground scene, Sex Cells have been electrifying stages and shorting modern fuse boxes for close to five years. Their psychedelic analogue space hippy sound provides backdrop to haunting and chaotic live shows. They are wholly and entirely unique, which is a rare and valuable thing.

The Slaughter House Band

The Sound Sniffer is a website dedicated to unearthing fresh new musical talent around London. We are putting our first ever live show together for you on the 31st of October – exciting. On the night we will have tunes from Darshaan, Jay Marwaha and Brother Jonathan Music. This is a underground talent Showcase and is Free Entry.

Darshaan
London based Darshaan has been making tunes since his younger years and comes to us fresh off the milestone of getting 100k Spotify streams on his impressively soulful single ‘Palm of my hand’. His music is a mix of Prince, Jai Paul and a couple of others in between. He is sure to be bringing a stellar show on the night. He has been picked up various times in recent months by BBC Introducing.

Jay Marwaha
A really really exciting talent. His debut album ‘It was fun while it lasted’ left a lasting impression on us here at The Sound Sniffer. He will be performing his first EVER live show for us on the night. His single ‘Sitting In The Park’ has already received rave reviews from major blogs like EARMILK. Delighted to have him involved. A rare talent.

Brother Jonathan Music
Based in the South East of the UK, Brother Jonathan is a really raw and rugged prospect. His live performances are absolutely breathtaking. He has just released his first ever track titled ‘Hurting’ in the last month and is touring his live act around the festival circuit. A man with a guitar and a real purpose.
