A showcase for two bands from the Institute of Rhythm & Blues under the guidance of Andy Dummett, who has played with some of the biggest names in classic Soul music.
Headliner – Southside Soul
Southside Soul is an exciting 8-piece soul and funk band, playing energetic ‘Get Up On Your Feet & Move’ dance music!
They are a modern London band with a classic, retro-performance style, playing music to make people move, ranging from the king of ’em all, James Brown, to Otis Redding, thru to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Sam and Dave, Edwin Starr, Wilson Pickett & Eddie Floyd- to name but a few.
Featuring the powerful saxophone of Andy Dummett, who has performed with many of Soul’s greatest legends, including Martha Reeves, Edwin Starr, Eddie Floyd, Solomon Burke and Leon Ware, plus a tight Horn section, keyboards and a dynamic duo on guitars.
