Foli Douman is an emerging international West African drumming and dance ensemble based in London. Our work brings together traditional rhythms and dance practices from Guinea, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Mali, combining live percussion, movement, and cultural storytelling in contemporary performance settings.
Through our performances, we seek to honour the origins of these traditions while celebrating artistic collaboration, cultural exchange, and the continuing legacy of African diasporic arts.
Foli Douman, meaning ‘good music’ in Bambara, is an international West African Drum and Dance ensemble led by master percussionist Seydou @kienous- channeling ancestral rhythms from Guinea, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Mali.
