March 18th is going to be a full night of boundary pushing music with Holy Shift.  Holy Shift is an independent collective and record label who put on live nights as well as release original compilations.  On this edition of Holy Shift at the Fox & Firkin there will be performances from the following:

Kristina Rhodes

Kristina Rhodes blends live ambient cello with layered, drifting loops and vocal textures. With a background as a session musician performing with artists including JADE, Wu-Lu, Charlotte Plank, Demi Lovato and more, their music carries a strong sense of space and emotion, inviting listeners into an immersive soundscape.

Pub Singer

Pub Singer is the new incarnation of Salford born singer/songwriter Kid Cruise. With a growing distaste of the music industry, a prolonged hiatus began. With much self-reflection and re-evaluation, a new character was unlocked; an unconscious act of rebellion in some ways.  Pub Singer is a more grown up, introspective yet self professedly “less concerned” song writer, with a refreshing disregard to the current musical landscape. A man you may very well see singing in your local pub.

Middle Name John (EP Release Show)

On this special evening to celebrate the release of his upcoming EP, ‘is it the bills?’, Middle Name John will be performing with a full band.  Picking up where he left off with his 2024 album on Slowfoot Records but ramping up the sonic experimentation.  Middle Name John is a multi-faceted creative performing artist and writer expressing life’s uncertainty, continuing to showcase expansive musicianship.

Dime

Formed in Deptford South London by Basile Petite, Max O’Donnell, Pete Hill and Sam Warner. Dime create ambient dystopian soundscapes, anthemic Melodies and deep driving club beats reminiscent of the early 00’s, through collective sonic exploration and improvisation.  Having played for Artists including;
The Streets, Alfa Mist, Hak Baker and Nubiyan Twist, Dime utilise a wide range of influences in their compositions that move organically between Genre, tempo and texture.
