PRINCE FATTY – Prince Fatty (The artist name is a nod to that giant of Jamaican sound King Tubby) is the creation of music producer and engineer Michael Pelanconi delivers characterful takes on old-school reggae, soul and Latin grooves.
He has worked with varied global talents México’s Panteón Rococó, California’s Stick Figure, Scotland’s Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Little Roy, Winston Francis, Jamaican superstars Big Youth and Marcia Griffiths, Afrobeat musicians including Dele Sosimi and Kunle Justice, Latin maverick Manu Chao and hip-hop godfathers The Last Poets.
Prince Fatty “virtually reinvented lovers rock” on the first two Hollie Cook albums, beginning with her breakthrough hit Milk And Honey. As Mike Pelanconi, he mixed Lily Allen’s “Alright Still” album, which sold about 3 million copies.
KAYA M – London-based selector Kaya M sets the scene around the Roots Rockers tradition, honing on soulful message music with steppas drums. Kaya M co-hosts the Vinyl Sisters UK collective and has performed with the Room in the Sky outfit as a keys player. She is currently working on her own productions and as a multi-genre selector/dj. UK-wide Kaya M has supported greats such as Sir Lloyd Coxsone, Aba Shanti-I and Iration Steppas to name a few.
